GMI Cloud raised $668 million in new financing — $223 million Series B equity led by ARCHIV with NVIDIA participating, plus a $445 million credit facility led by CTBC — according to the company’s October 1, 2026 PR Newswire release and October 6 company blog. The capital funds GPU capacity expansion in the U.S., Taiwan and the rest of APAC.

The numbers on the wire

  • $668 million total new financing: $223 million Series B equity + $445 million CTBC-led credit facility.
  • Series B lead: ARCHIV (San Francisco AI/robotics firm). NVIDIA participated. APAC investors named: DSC Investment, Trend Micro, KB Investment, Kyobo Life, KT Corporation and others.
  • Contracted ARR: more than 9× year-end 2025; live production ARR more than 4.5× over the same period (company-reported).
  • Inference platform: about 4 trillion tokens per week; company blog adds that September traffic through OpenRouter passed 1 trillion tokens.
  • No valuation disclosed on the primary wires.

Where the capacity goes

GMI frames itself as a single platform for U.S. and Asia-Pacific demand — hyperscalers that need capacity on both sides of the Pacific, and APAC enterprises that want production AI under local data rules. The raise builds on a Taiwan AI Factory announced in 2025 and a Japan sovereign AI initiative announced earlier in 2026.

Customers named on the release include Fireworks, Higgsfield, Nous Research, OpenRouter, Reflection, Cartesia, Trend Micro and Utopai Studios. Fireworks co-founder Chenyu Zhao is quoted on GB200 and GB300 NVL72 delivery reliability.

What the company is shipping beyond racks

Beyond cluster expansion, the Series B is earmarked for inference services and hiring. The October 6 blog lists NVIDIA Exemplar Cloud status on GB300 NVL72 for training, plus GMI Agentbox, GMI Router, a SCALE program for startups and a Clouder developer program.

“Our customers are scaling faster than ever, and they need infrastructure that keeps pace,” said founder and CEO Alex Yeh.

What to watch

  • Facility MW, GPU counts and delivery schedule for the U.S./Taiwan expansion — not on the primary release.
  • Terms of the $445 million CTBC facility (rate, GPU collateral, covenants).
  • Whether contracted ARR discloses customer concentration beyond the named logos.
